A ribbon cutting ceremony took place this morning for Butler Elementary School in Savannah.
The new school is located at 1909 Cynthia Street.
The new Butler Elementary is a total of 85,906 square feet, that includes 70,773 square feet of new construction, while 15,133 square feet is renovated.
The school is equipped with the following:
o 38 standard classrooms:
Pre-K through 5th grade classrooms
o One Music classroom
o One Art classroom
o One Computer/Technology lab
o 4,950 Square Feet, physical education facility
o Full-size gymnasium
o Cafeteria for after-school activities
o 3,258 square feet media center and supporting areas
o Stage in cafeteria for production/assemblies
