Students at one Savannah school are celebrating Catholic Schools Week by giving back to those in need.
St. Peter the Apostle calls it "S.O.C.C.Ks"or Serving Our Community Catholic Kids Style.
Each grade, from Pre-K to Eighth, got to select a charity to help.
Students worked hard through the month of January gathering items for donation--- and today it all paid off.
The selected charities got to pick up donated items.
Stacie Paul is a 4th grade teacher at St. Peter’s.
"I think when they get older; they will remember how this made them feel. And they will continue to pass this on to their children and to the community as adults.”
This was the second annual “SOCCKs” event.
The students at St. Peter’s were able to collect enough donations to give to ten charities.
