The Georgia State Patrol says 19 people were killed in the state in highway accidents during the July 4 holiday period.
The patrol says 17 accidents claimed at least one life on Georgia highways during the period from 6 p.m. Friday and midnight Monday.
The patrol says 11 people were killed in highway accidents during the July 4 holiday period a year ago.
