Folks in the lowcountry are seeing some flare-ups as well. A brush fire lit up some woods in a Hilton Head neighborhood this afternoon.
Several Hitlon Head Fire and Rescue trucks were on the scene at Hilton Head Plantation's Conservancy, as crews worked to exstinguish the burn. No houses were damaged in the blaze, but lots of smoke covered the area. Officials right now are unsure of what started the fire. the Forestry department is investigating.
