This weekend the Beaufort Air show landed at the Marine Corps Air Station. Organizers were anticipating more than 100,000 neighbors to attend.
"Right now, it's looking like 70-80,000 yesterday, on the Saturday show, and we expect almost that today, maybe 50,000 today. So, we're right in that range of what we expected," said Master Sgt. Chad McMeen.
McMeen says they won't have official numbers for a while...but one thing Larry Pizor knows for sure, is that his family is having a blast!
"It's just the great weather and they always have a great show here at the Marine Corps Air Station. We've been here for the last couple of shows, and it's always a great time for the family."
His son Nicky was amazed by some of the tricks.....
"There was this red and blue one that they looked like they would crash but they didnt!"
Thousands of folks have trickled into station over the past two days, and officials say that's what this air show is about, opening up the gates to the community.
"We've had a great turnout, the weathers held up for us, performers, everything has gone as planned, it's just been an absolutely phenomenal year, everything came together and we're so excited that everyone came out to see what we offer here," said McMeen.
