One person remains hospitalized after a major accident on I-16 in Bryan County Wednesday night.
The accident involving 3 semi trucks and 1 vehicle shut down Interstate 16 for hours Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
It happened in the east bound lane near mile marker 143 around the Pembroke 280 exit at around 10:00pm.
Georgia State Patrol tells News 3 that one semi hit another and caused a chain reaction that caused a third to jackknife.
One car had to swerve to avoid the melee and crashed into a tree.
The driver of one truck was able to climb out and save the driver of another by punching out a window to pull the occupant to safety.
The drivers of all four vehicles were taken to the hospital. All are expected to be ok.
