Road Closure Scheduled on S.R. 307 near S.R. 21 Tuesday

SR 307/Dean Forest Rd. near SR 21 will be closed for part of Tuesday.

The detour routes will be signed as follows:

Motorists traveling south on S.R. 307/Dean Forest Rd. will be detoured left (South) onto S.R. 21/ S.R. 30/Augusta Rd.; then travel to I-516 and take Exit 8/Bay St./Garden City; turn

The detour routes will be signed as follows:

Motorists traveling south on S.R. 307/Dean Forest Rd. will be detoured left (South) onto S.R. 21/ S.R. 30/Augusta Rd.; then travel to I-516 and take Exit 8/Bay St./Garden City; turn right (South) onto S.R. 25/Burnsed Blvd.; then turn right (West) onto U.S. 80; and travel back to S.R. 307/Dean Forest Rd..
Motorists traveling north on S.R. 307/Dean Forest Rd. will be detoured right (East) onto U.S. 80; then turn left (North) onto S.R. 25/Burnsed Blvd.; then turn left (North) onto S.R. 21/S.R. 30/Augusta Rd.; and travel to back to S.R. 307/Dean Forest Rd.

CHATHAM COUNTY --

Upgrades to the railroad crossing at State Road 307/Dean Forest Rd. near State Road 21 in Chatham County will cause some detours Tuesday.

S.R. 307 will be closed at the railroad crossing nearest S.R. 21and detoured from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. While the road will be closed to through traffic, the Georgia Department of Transportation says you will still be able to access businesses in that area.
