Those who regularly park or drive on Broughton Street will have to make other plans for Thursday afternoon and evening.
More than 35 downtown retail stores will hold special events as part of Savannah’s Fashion’s Night Out to coincide with similar events happening in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. This will make Broughton pedestrian-only.
Beginning at 3 p.m., Broughton from Montgomery Street to Drayton Street will be closed to traffic. Any vehicles left on the street after 3 will be towed.
Broughton will showcase musical performances, art installations, home-grown designers and an outdoor fashion show.
