A deadly motorcycle accident is under investigation in Long County. Georgia State Patrol says a 22-year-old Fort Stewart soldier on a motorcycle hit a Toyota Corolla attempting to make a left turn. The soldier was pronounced dead at the scene.

Plans to build a mausoleum near the entrance to Bonaventure Cemetery are moving forward. Trees just outside the gates of the cemetery were removed Wednesday. Owner Kyle Nikola says the trees cut down will be replaced by new ones inside the cemetery.

Crime in the downtown area is on the minds of many in Savannah. A town hall meeting hosted by Savannah-Chatham police addressed concerns. Neighbors say they appreciate police keeping them informed.
