A Third Infantry Division Soldier was killed in a motorcycle accident on Fort Stewart early this morning.
The accident happened around 12:01 a.m. on Highway 119 near the NCO Academy. The Soldier was assigned to the 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team.
Chaplain support and family assistance have been extended to the Soldier’s family during this time.
The name of the Soldier is being withheld until next of kin notification is confirmed. The accident is under investigation by Fort Stewart police.
