Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating the death of a local businessman.
Officers found the body of 50 year old Christopher Mayville early this morning in a clump of bushes in a vacant lot at East 61st and Abercorn streets.
Mayville co-owned that lot.
Officers began searching for Mayville after his family reported him missing just after 2am, they told police they had not seen him since 9am Monday.
The cause of death has not been released.
