(Aiken, SC) Officer Sandy Rogers was killed in the line of duty this morning after responding to a suspicious activity call in the Eustice park neighborhood in Aiken.
Rogers graduated from Aiken technical college and grew up close to the area where she was shot and killed.
26 year old Joshua Jones is in custody in Aiken charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Officer rogers was 49.
