The new multi-million dollar Oglethorpe Charter School is half way through its construction on Central Avenue in Savannah.
The roof is now one the building so work can continue in the rain.
This is one of seven projects funded by ESPLOST to improve Savannah schools.
SCCPSS Sperintendent Dr. Thomas Lockamy says it's money well spent.
"This is quite a celebration because Oglethorpe is a very fine Charter School. It's a school that has excelled in academic achievement, parental involvement, and this is just another opportunity to get more families engaged in the public education system," Lockamy said Monday.
Nine more projects are on the way thanks to the continuation of ESPLOST by voters this past November.
