Warehouse course promises to get you a job interview

Savannah Technical College is offering a course that if not designed to automaticaly get you a job, it will automatically get you a job interview.  According to folks from Savannah Tech, Target will continue hiring new people for their distribution center in Midway, Georgia, Liberty County, throughout the remainder of 2009. We’re told it may be as many as 75 jobs.

Savannah Tech says it can help people get ready.  It offers a course to help students become a “Certified Warehousing Distribution Specialist “ and officials the CWDS program will guarantee interviews with Target.

The course takes about two months to complete and will begin sometime in August.  They can accomodate up to 20 students and we’re told the course is often free, because of a grant.
Beginning July 14th, there will be information sessions about the Certified Warehousing Distribution Specialist (CWDS) program. Sessions will be held Tuesdays throughout the month of July beginning on July 14th at 10:00 a.m. at STC Liberty Campus; 21st at 6:00 p.m. at Dorchester Academy; 28th at 10:00 a.m. at Dorchester Academy; and August 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Liberty Campus.
