Man Accused Of Killing Wife Appears In Court

SAVANNAH, GA - A man accused of killing his wife over the weekend made his first appearance before a judge on Monday.  Robert Johnson allegedly shot Mary Ellen Johnson during an argument Saturday morning.  She was taken to Memorial for treatment, but later died.  Police say the two had been married for more than forty years.  Johnson has been charged with murder and is set for a preliminary hearing on November 18th.
