Prison Escapee Captured In Jesup
A fugitive wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Georgia Department of Corrections K-9 officers and other Corrections officers on January 14, 2009.

A fugitive wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Georgia Department of Corrections K-9 officers and other Corrections officers on January 14, 2009.
Jesse James Holliday aka Jesse James Brandt, 38, was being sought on a warrant charging him with escape. Holliday was serving a three year prison sentence for financial identity fraud at the Long State Prison in Ludowici, Georgia. Holliday was on a work detail in the Jesup, Georgia area when he fled. The Marshals Fugitive Task Force, GDC K-9, and other GDC officers worked through the night trying to locate him. Numerous leads were worked in this case. Holliday was captured in Jesup, Georgia, 28 hours from the time he fled the work detail.
Holliday was taken to Smith State Prison in Glennville, Georgia for safekeeping to await prosecution on the escape charges.
