3rd Annual Greenfest Held in Savannah

Going green was the name of the game at the third annual Greenfest.
This year it was held at Trustees Garden in Downtown Savannah. Various earth friendly vendors attended the event along with some area restaurants.
The theme of this year’s event was “Connect and Take Action”. A slogan the organizers hope will make people think about how their daily actions effect the environment.
“We are pushing the envelope this year by trying to have the event be a waste free event. So we are going to compost all our to-go containers also we are going to compost a lot of the food. So it is going to go into the garden which is really awesome,” explains event organizer Maria Castro.
This years green fest was held in conjunction with the last day of the Savannah Urban Arts Festival.
