Around 10:00 a.m. Friday, a lone black male entered into the Wachovia Bank at 6919 Abercorn St. and produced a note demanding money.

The suspect made away with an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a vehicle traveling west bound on Stephenson Ave.

He then turned on White Bluff Rd. north bound, that’s when Metro Detectives Jeffrey Mikloucich, Michael Dantzler and Tonya Reid spotted the vehicle and trailed behind it.

Thanks to the quick thinking on the part of Metro Detectives they were able to remain undetected and guide marked units to the area.

Once the suspect was surrounded he was taken into custody without further incident. State and Federal charges are pending.
