Dense Fog Advisory for Thursday Morning

A dense fog advisory is in effect for Coffee, Jeff Davis, Bacon, Appling, Wayne, Atkinson, Ware, Pierce, Brantley, Glynn, Echols, Clinch, Charlton, and Camden Counties until 10 am this morning.

Widespread fog and low clouds have developed over southeast Georgia due to the influx of moist air off the Atlantic and light winds. Several reports indicate visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less. The fog will continue through 8 am…with a gradual lifting and dissipation of the fog layer by 10 am.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving…slow down…use your headlights…and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
