Hinesville, GA – March 27, 2009 – A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10am on April 15th for Hinesville Professional Center (HPC), a new office park located on E.G. Miles Parkway, directly across from the Liberty Regional Medical Center Hospital. The office park will bring more than 63,600 square feet of retail and Class A office space to the city of Hinesville.
“We look forward to Hinesville Professional Center providing Liberty County with much needed office space to conduct the business vital to our community’s continued growth. This project will also provide jobs and business opportunities for Liberty County at a time when that is more important than ever,” said, Johnny Carnes, Developer of Hinesville Professional Center.
Whitman Pharmacy will be the anchor tenant for the office park when it moves from its current location at 200 West Oglethorpe Highway. It will occupy 4,000 square feet of the 10,000 square foot building already under construction. The new Whitman Pharmacy will be considerably larger than the current store, with new, modern equipment and fixtures, and will offer a larger selection of the over the counter items and gifts. Completion of the building is expected by January 2010. Jones Medical Equipment will also be relocating to HPC.
The office complex will be built on 7.27 acres directly across from the Liberty Regional Medical Center. Six of nine office buildings will be two stories with 7,200 square feet each, while two one-story buildings will each be 3,600 square feet, and one will be 3,200 square feet. The entire park will have more than 300 parking spaces.
Situated directly across from the Liberty Regional Hospital, HPC is an ideal location for doctors’ offices and other medical-related businesses. In addition to Jones Medical Equipment, physical therapist Jacques Beauchamp of Spine & Sport has committed to one of the 3,600 square foot units.
Developer Johnny Carnes will attend the ceremony, along with Al Dixon, Alex Tucker and Jodie Tucker of Whitman Pharmacy, and James Rogers from The Heritage Bank, which is financing the project. Carey and Alan Jones of Jones Medical Equipment will also attend, as will Kenny Smiley, director of the Liberty County Chamber Commerce, City Council Members, city staff and other community business leaders. Hinesville Mayor James Thomas is expected to attend, and the public is also invited.
