Crews On The Site Of Possible HazMat Leak in Effingham County
Update 11am: All roads and businesses are now reopened. Clean-up is in process. Investigators are still not sure what caused the vapors to come from a truck at the Pilot station but are looking into several possibilities. One person was injured when the incident occured early this morning. That person was treated at an area hospital and has already been released.
Update 7am: All roads are open now but authorities still suggest you avoid the area.
HazMat and fire crews are on the scene of a possible hazardous leak at the Pilot gas station at the intersection of Highway 21 and I-95 in Effingham County.
