Move aside American Idol, America’s next big singing sensation is coming out of "Nashville Star." 

It’s NBC's newest reality show and it debuts Friday night.

Undiscovered talent give it their best shot in front of some of the biggest names in country music for a chance at a lucrative recording contract and a performance of a lifetime at this summer's Olympics.

It began with 45,000 people all with one dream.

To become country music's next big star.
 
"Nashville star," the longest running reality competition on cable has moved to NBC, and the new season is bigger than ever, with a record number of auditions.
 
And it includes the first ever all-military casting call aboard the U.S.S. Iwo Jima.
 
One contestant said, "My husband has been my number one fan. And when he got back from Iraq just a month ago, he said you were behind me this entire year. I'm home now, let's go chase your dreams."
 
Host Billy Ray Cyrus joins celebrity judges Jewel and John Rich of Big and Rich for a competition that's fiery from start to finish.
  
The winner, or winners of this year's competition will receive a major recording contract and will perform at the Beijing Summer Olympic games.
