The other day “60 Minutes” reran an interview with Will Smith who revealed his formula for becoming a movie star.
He was determined, for the most part, to star in movies with special effects, perhaps a love story, and a big budget.
“Hancock,’ the latest from the star of "Independence Day", "I am Legend" and "Men in Black" has an added element, attitude.
He plays an alcoholic street guy somehow imbued with superhuman powers but he always seems to leave a bigger mess after saving the day.
Jason Bateman portrays an advertising guy married to Charleze Theron in the story and after Hancock saved his life and he wants to change his image.
“Hancock is pure fun. The special effects are astonishing, and will smith is the master of the movie. His attitude here gives the movie an unexpected edge, too, and he plays off Charleze Theron perfectly. Jason Bateman adds spice to one of the summer's most entertaining films,” said movie critic Jeffrey Lyons.
