Actor David Carradine found dead in Bangkok. Chris Clackum reports.

The actor who gained fame playing a wandering monk on TV’s “Kung Fu” is dead.

David Carradine was found hanged inside a hotel closet in Bangkok, Thailand, his death an apparent suicide.

Carradine was in Bangkok filming a movie.

He was the star of the 1970s Emmy-award-winning TV series “Kung Fu” but won acclaim most recently starring as “Bill” in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” films.

Golden Globe judges nominated Carradine for a Best Actor award for the role.

Carradine came from an iconic acting family.

Father John, brothers Keith and Bobby were all often-used character actors in Hollywood.

Over five decades Carradine appeared in more than 100 feature films including last year’s “Golden Boys”.
