Let Yoga Relax Your Body and Mind

The practice of yoga dates back over 5,000 years to its native India.  At first glance, it is a form of exercise that unites the mind and body through proper breathing, exercise, relaxation, diet, positive thinking, and meditation.  However, to those who practice yoga regularly, it can quickly become a way of life.

Yoga offers many health benefits.  It helps the heart and lungs work more efficiently, lowers blood pressure, and promotes relaxation and overall fitness. Yoga enthusiasts often report improved coordination, posture, flexibility, range of motion, concentration, sleep and digestion.

Although yoga is not a cure for any medical condition, it may be helpful as an additional therapy for managing conditions as diverse as cancer, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, migraine, heart disease and AIDS.
