Kids Day 2009 Set for Sunday

Kids Day 2009 will be held Sunday, March 22 at the Savannah Civic Center. The annual event sponsored by the Jewish Educational Alliance lasts from noon to 4:00 p.m. and is a time of educational, cultural and social enrichment.

Booths will be set up to provide information on Communications, Science and Math activities sponsored by SCCPSS, health and personal awareness programs, early childcare resources, summer recreation activities and more.

Early College students will act as ambassadors and students from Groves High School, Savannah Arts Academy, Savannah High School, Shuman Middle School and Jacob G. Smith Elementary School will perform musical selections. American Idol finalist, Stephanie Edwards, is also scheduled to take the stage.

Everyone is invited to attend. Admission for each child or family is one donated non-perishable food item. Donations will benefit America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.
