Survey says many young people don’t know how to handle money or debt
A new survey by a major consumer group says a lot of parents aren’t sure how to teach their children how to handle money, credit or debt. While parents feel responsible for the financial education of their children, many are not sure how to go about it. A ruling from the Public Service Commission says that Georgia Power can use money from a reserve fund to help ensure the rate of return for shareholders. The utility company says its profits are being affected by the recession.
More small money scams surfacing, Better Business Bureau says don’t be fooled
Consumers are receiving more “small money” scams in the mail. The Better Business Bureau warns that scam artists are adjusting to the economy and assuming that many people might still be willing to shell out 20 or 30 dollars in the hope that they’ve won something.

Couple’s long ordeal to get computer, were they still ripped off?
A Savannah couple ordered a computer from a company promising to help folks with bad credit. That was in April. Of 2008 by the way. After paying the full $2,000 for the computer and waiting for a year and a half to have it delivered, they called us a few weeks ago. We found out some pretty interesting facts about the company that may help other consumers.
Kroger Recalls Bread
The Kroger Co. is recalling its Super Kids Enriched White Sandwich Bread sold in 13 states because it may contain milk not listed on the label. Customers should return the product to stores for a refund or replacement.
