Metro Police Seek Man Who Shot Another During Daffin Park Armed Robbery
The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department is looking for a person who robbed a man a gunpoint Saturday night in Daffin Park.
SAVANNAH, GA (September 21, 2009): The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department is looking for a person who robbed a man a gunpoint Saturday night in Daffin Park. Just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday night a man fishing at the pond in Daffin Park was approached by a armed man who demanded the victim’s money. During the incident, the victim attempted to subdue the gunman and was shot at least once by the suspect. The suspect fled the area on foot. Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived on the scene and transported the victim to Memorial Medical University Center where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury. The suspect is described as a black male in his early twenties, 5’8”, 150 lbs. and was last seen wearing a baseball cap and a white t-shirt. Metro Police discourages members of the public from attempting to disarm a suspect. You are advised to try to remain calm and remember every detail of the suspect to include their physical description, clothing, direction of departure, any vehicle involved or unique physical features.
