Name Of Victim, New Details Released In Weekend Fatal Crash

We now know the name of the person killed in a traffic accident in Long County over the weekend.  Cody Dalton Chaney was the passenger in a Toyota pickup rear-ended by a Chevy Tahoe on Highway 23/38 between Ludowici and Jesup.  Georgia State Patrol says the pickup went over the guard rail and overturned.  The victim was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but was pronounced dead at the scene.  No word on the condition of the Toyota’s driver.  The Tahoe was driven by John Goode.  Any charges that may be filed are pending the outcome of the crash investigation.
