The Tybee Island Fire Department is hosting an open house tonight.  Get your children and head to the fire department at 7 p.m. for food, games and demonstrations.

Fire department officials want to make sure that you know what you need to do in case of an emergency, whether it’s a fire, an injury or situation at the beach.

There will be talks or demonstrations from the Savannah-Chatham K-9 Unit, Omni Flight Helo landing, a Smoke House, from Safe Kids Savannah, Tybee Island Ocean Rescue, Coast Guard Station Tybee Island and even “dunk-a-firefighter”
Tonight’s open house will be held at the fire department on Jones Avenue next to Memorial Park.  The open house is sponsored by the City of Tybee and the Optimist Club.
