U.S. Supreme Court Orders New Hearing in Troy Davis Case
Monday was an emotional day for the families of convicted murderer Troy Davis and slain Savannah police officer MacPhail. The Supreme Court’s order for an evidentiary hearing came just two days before the 19th anniversary of the murder.

U.S. Supreme Court won’t hear Troy Davis Case, families react
The U.S.Supreme Court indicated Tuesday that it will not intervene in the case of Troy Anthony Davis. Davis, who is now 40 years old, has been on death row for 19 years in connection with the killing of Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989.
