Truancies Top 4,000

Jasmine Green was typical of 4,276 other Savannah-Chatham public school students last year: She didn't spend much time in school. Savannah-Chatham students who miss five or more days without an excuse are truant. Jasmine skipped 10 days her sophomore year.
