FBI Atlanta
“Granddad Bandit” July 24th, 2009—Wells Fargo Bank in Dallas, Tx.
The FBI thinks he’s hit, at least, nine banks in seven states since April and now is asking for help from the public to identify a man who they believe is a serial bank robber dubbed the “Granddad Bandit”. Special Agent-in-charge, Gregory Jones, of the FBI Atlanta bureau says his robberies are described as calm and quiet, a deliberate attempt not to attract attention. He presents a demand note to a teller and leaves without disruption to the normal banking business and customers around him. Here’s the description from the FBI:
Race: White
Sex: Male
Age: 50-60 years of age
Hgt: 6’0” – 6’4”
Wgt: 220-250 lbs.
Build: Stocky
Hair: bald with short gray hair on side
Misc: prescription glasses
There is now a $10,000 reward being offered by law enforcement in this matter.
