Bus of Inspiration

With the Presidential Inauguration almost a week away—one man is setting off a journey.
His final destination is Washington DC but as News Three’s Alice Massimi shows us he’s spreading a message of hope along the way.

“Martin Luther had a dream, Barak Obama different not he,” recites Ron Sorenson. 
They are words inspired by Barack Obama from a poem titled “Persistence True Dream.”
“Believe in the dream beats one life and earth. A time in need world compassion help our part do,” another line from the poem.
Ron Sorenson calls himself the ADD Poet, playing off his diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder; he didn’t start writing poetry until last march. Since then he’s been unstoppable.
“They come between 3 and 5 in the morning. I only sleep about an hour and a half every night,” explains the ADD Poet.
Writing about everything from Michael Phelps to Martin Luther King its Barack Obama that really got him going.
“I’m a contractor and I was one of the first ones to get crushed. I believe in him and I believe the economy can be fixed and I’m trying to inspire as many people. Instead of sitting on the couch complaining about how bad it is, do something” Ron says.
With some of his poems plastered on the side of a bus he is traveling throughout the nation.
One of the reasons why Sorenson says he took this show on the road is because Obama himself did that while running for president.
Along for the trip is Jeffrey Gibbons, an artist who helped with the design of the bus.
“They love it people give us their business cards, take pictures. Every time we get out I feel like I am part of his family,” says Gibbons. 
“It’s making everybody smile, except for the people who still need to work on their problems of judging with their eyes,” says Ron.
Sorenson says they plan on traveling thousands of miles with their message, making stops at the Inauguration and the Super Bowl.
