Chatham County Emergency Siren Test at Noon Wednesday
It’s a clear, sunny day with nothing but a somewhat elevated high tide weatherwise. So, at noon today, don’t be surprised or worried if you live in Chatham County when you hear the county’s emergency sirens blaring in unison. It’s only the monthly test by CEMA (Chatham Emergency Management Agency) to make sure that during tornado warnings or other emergencies, the entire system works as it should.

Hooray! We can finally hear the sirens on the Southside! So if this had been an actual emergency…......!
That was scary. I totally ducked under my desk.
