Church Fire In Smoaks

The Emmanuel Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith was detroyed by a fire early this morning.  It happened around 3:30am on Low Country Highway in Smoaks, SC.  The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Arson Team to determine the origin of the fire.  The SLED Arson Unit has determined that the church was destroyed by an electrical fire and no arson was involved.
