UPDATE on D.I. Grill Liquor License in Savannah
NEWS 3 Community Reporter Alice Massimi says, as of this morning, the liquor license for D.I. Grill on Abercorn in Savannah, has been suspended. That comes after successive Saturday night shootings. We’ll have more information on this later.
Other high-profile topics up for discussion at the Thursday meeting of the Savannah City Council.
—The somewhat controversial notion to force bartenders, servers and managers to be licensed by the city to serve alcohol gets a hearing following a meeting earlier this week with about 150 interested people. This licensing idea gained traction early in the summer after businesses’ liquor licenses were suspended because employees were caught serving minors.
—Finally, a strip club on Bull Street? Word is it probably won’t happen but the people who want to open “G-Strings” on Bull St. between 41st and 42nd Streets apparently want to plead their case before the council.
NEWS 3 Community Reporter Alice Massimi will have more updates later today.
