On July 3rd around 11:00 p.m. Chatham County Sheriff K-9 partner Puma went missing from her residence.  She was last seen in the Waters Avenue and Montgomery Crossroads area of town.  Sheriff’s deputies have launched an exhaustive search for Puma, but as of this time have been unable to locate her.

We are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to return Puma to her partner.  If you have any information as to Puma’s whereabouts, please contact Lieutenant Ralph Salas at 660-7631 or contact SCMPD dispatch 652-6500.

Puma is a Belgium Malinois trained to find marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines, and opiates and is a vital part of the Sheriff’s effort to keep dangerous drugs out of our community.
