Palmetto Family Council on Sanford:  Good Grief.  What is he thinking?

Governor Mark Sanford told the Associated Press earlier today that Maria Belen Chapur “is his soul mate.“  So, for the second time in less than a week, the Governor of South Carolina boldly, unapologetically, publicly declares his devotion to a woman other than his wife.  A fine example to all the young men (and women) of our state don’t you think? 
Then, to make matters worse, King David morphs into Oprah with this line:  This was a whole lot more than a simple affair, this was a love story, a forbidden one, a tragic one, but a love story at the end of the day.
Good grief. What is he thinking?
