UPDATE: Accused Sex Offender In Custody

SAVANNAH, Ga.—Police said a local attorney suspected of child molestation is in custody after turning himself into authorities late Wednesday night.

Savannah Chatham Metro Police were looking for Lawrence Edward Madison, who is wanted on three counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual battery and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

Madison was scheduled to turn himself into the Chatham County Jail at 5:00 p.m., but when he failed to do so authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.
