SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah is pouring on its Southern hospitality for a conference promoting partnerships between U.S. and Swedish businesses.

Jonas Hafstrom, Swedish ambassador to the U.S., and Savannah Mayor Otis Johnson welcomed about 300 people Tuesday attending the Swedish-American Entrepreneurial Days conference.

The three-day gathering is largely a networking event for American and Swedish companies. The conference is organized by the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, which promotes Swedish business in the U.S. It has been held on either side of the Atlantic Ocean since 1997.

Savannah is the first Southern city, and the smallest in the United States, to host the conference.
