Students celebrate Red Ribbon Week Susan Hill

This is a picture e-mailed to us by Islands Elementary teacher Susan Hill. It’s part of their Red Ribbon Week activities.
Any other day these Islands Elementary School students would have been cited for a dress code violation… but Thursday kids were encouraged to wear their wild and wacky hosiery in an effort to “Sock it to Drugs”. These are pictures e-mailed to us by teacher Susan Hill. It’s part of their Red Ribbon Week activities.
Students learned about different ways to say no to drugs, violence, and alcohol and to learn to help their community as an alternative to negative choices.
Today students will watch a video about making the right choices in life.
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country.
