Officials Hope Florida Case Will Aid in Beaufort County Cold Case of Paul Baker

A Florida baby, missing for five days, was found alive Wednesday night and law enforcement back in Beaufort County wonder what the case there could mean for one of their cold cases. Three-year-old Paul Baker was reported missing in 1987 apparently put down for a nap, he was never seen again.  The baby’s stepmother, Susan Baker is the center of the Florida investigation.  Baby Shannon Dedrick was found alive inside a box under a bed in Baker’s home.  Now, 22 years later, Beaufort County officials hope something in Florida will give them the answers they need to what happened to Paul Baker.
