Estill High School School Nurse Injured in Altercation, Several Arrested
Two adults were arrested and two juveniles petitioned following an altercation at Estill High School Friday. A school nurse also received minor injuries during the altercation and was transported to the hospital following the incident.

Fripp Island Gator Attacks Golfer, Bites Arm Off
There was no word Friday night on the condition of the Fripp Island golfer who lost his arm in an alligator attack Thursday. The man, in his 70’s, was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston with hopes of getting his arm re-attached.

One Step Closer to Unemployment Benefits Extension
Some jobless Americans are one step closer to keeping their unemployment benefits. The House of Representatives passed a bill Tuesday to extend unemployment compensation for more than a million people who could lose those benefits by the end of the year. This 13-week extension would only apply to jobless workers in the District of Columbia and 27 states with unemployment rates of 8.5% or higher. Georgia and South Carolina are among the list.
