3RD TAKES CONTROL
3RD ID BASED AT FORT STEWART HAS TAKEN COMMAND OF NORTHERN MULTI NATIONAL FORCES IN IRAQThe Third Infantry Division is now in command of Multi National Division Forces in Iraq.
Commanding General Tony Cucolo and Command Sergeant Major Jesse Andrews uncased the division’s colors. This action signifies the official transfer of power from the 25th ID to the 3rd ID.
This is the Third I.D’s fourth time in Iraq.
In the past they focused on combat operations, but this time around their mission will be to provide support for Iraqi Security Forces.
