Fort Stewart Soldier Found Dead

A Fort Stewart spokeperson is confirming the body of soldier in the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment in the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team was found dead in the barracks on Saturday night. The cause is not known at this time.
This soldier is the second soldier to have died at Fort Stewart in January.
On January 9th Specialist William Smith was also found dead. Smith had been assigned to Fort Stewart’s Warrior Transition Unit. He was a a National Guard soldier. His death is still under investigation.
