Imperial Sugar Burn Patient Discharged

The Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta announced the discharge of one of its Imperial Sugar patients. Paul Seckinger was discharged this morning after a six-month stay due to injuries suffered in the refinery blast February 7th in Port Wentworth.

Two patients remain in critical condition due to the accident. The Burn Center initially received 20 patients injured in the Imperial Sugar explosion. Five patients died as a result of their burn injuries; thirteen have been discharged.
