Savannah, GA – Following its filing of a motion in the State Court of Chatham County, GA, Imperial Sugar issued the following statement:

“Today Imperial Sugar Company alerted the Court to evidence that contradicts key statements made by its former Vice President, Mr. Graham H. Graham, in sworn testimony.  The motion details opinions by independent computer forensic consultants that a document referencing a possible explosion that Mr. Graham testified he authored and distributed to Company management prior to the incident was actually not created until three days after the February 7, 2008 incident.  Furthermore, the evidence developed by these consultants indicates that Mr. Graham never sent this document to Company management either before or after the incident.

“As it has in the past, Imperial continues to vigorously defend itself in court and supports the legal process as it unfolds.  Consistent with its desire to further the legal process, Imperial filed today’s motion in order to alert the Court of this significant evidence.”
