Australian Man Rescues Wife from Crocodile
A woman has been rescued from the jaws of a crocodile in the Australian Outback by what a hospital manager says was the "swift and diligent actions" of her husband.
He and his 36-year-old wife were swimming in a creek late Wednesday when the croc snatched her with its jaws. The husband jumped on the back of the eight-foot-long reptile and police say the croc let her go.
The woman was treated for leg and hand injuries at a hospital 100 miles away. The man wasn't hurt.
A police spokesman says of the incident, "It was real Crocodile Dundee stuff."
