Metter High Blood Drive:  Students Give Back

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment
Metter High School students in the Future Business Leaders of America are doing their part to give back to the community.

They hosted an American Red Cross blood drive today, collecting more than 40 units of blood.

Organizers say it's important to get teens, faculty and staff in the habit of donating blood, especially since high school students account for 20% of blood donors.

"I decided to give blood just to help out people that need blood. i know there's a shortage and i know it's a good thing to do to help out other people,” says Metter High School junior, Jordan Johnson.

Johnson says having the blood drive at the school makes donating easy.
